The day day kicked off early, as the staff and SRC prepared to welcome the guests. The SRC guided prospective students around the campus and to various exhibits.
We had some fun with "Actions Speak Louder than Words" where prospect students interacted with the deaf students. We also had workshops on live projects, community projects, programming, multimedia and robotics. Prospective students got a taste of varsity life with lecturer presentations on web programming and computer security.
Our 3D printer and Scorbot system workshop had students amazed as they could witness the printing of Belgium Campus logos and the Scorbot in action with blocks.
Belgium Campus' helpful staff were available throughout the day to answer questions and provide more information on student life at the Campus.
We were honoured to have two guest speakers from SAP, De Wet Naude and Kwena Mabotja. They discussed SAPs Growth Plan for Africa to accelerate innovation, as well as the programs they run together with the Belgium Campus.
We are glad to say that the Open Day was a success, one which was made possible thanks to the hard work of our staff and SRC.
