Ms Bernadette Abts (Educational Coordinator - Faculty Management & Technology – UC Leuven Limburg) and Ms Marlies Gyselaers (Educational Coordinator – Faculty Management & Technology – UC Leuven Limburg) visited Belgium Campus from 27 April to 1 May.
Belgium Campus together with the UC Leuven Limburg (member Association KU Leuven – Belgium) are jointly developing a new exciting curriculum in Business Management.
This new Bachelor degree, which will be submitted for accreditation soon, addresses the need for highly skilled business professionals who
· - can manage today’s business units or teams within any enterprises;
· - could establish and manage their own business;
· - play an active leadership role;
· - pursue innovative business opportunities that yield tangible value in a responsible way.
UC Leuven Limburg and Belgium Campus signed a collaboration agreement on 15 April 2002, which was renewed in 2008 and in 2012. The MoA is rooted on the successful cooperation of the last decade between the partners and formalises curriculum development, quality assurance, staff mobility, student mobility, community development projects, and joint proposals.
The visit of Ms Abts and Ms Gyselaers was the next step after our visit to the UC Leuven Limburg in September 2014 to initiate curriculum design of this new Bachelor of Business Management. This was a very productive collaboration and contributed significantly to the completion of accreditation file.
We look forward to continued cooperation and new endeavours with UC Leuven Limburg to open up new opportunities for both our students.
